In a post-apocalyptic world, Date Kyousuke is searching for his sister Runa . She has been kidnapped by an organization called the Kirihara Group . Along the way, he discovers that he has the ability to transform into a powerful being, the Soultaker , whenever he is severely injured or killed. He is also searching for the reason why his mother stabbed him, to then commit suicide.
