A young man named Tokio, who lives with his parents, takes in a kitten. She has trouble winning over Tokio's mother, who is allergic to cats. Chibineko is heartbroken when Toshio falls in love with a girl he meets in the park. Then she meets the handsome, silvery cat, Raphael, who explains that she and Toshio can never really be together.
