The animation is adapted from the novel of the same name. It tells the story of Ning Changjiu, a young Taoist priest who failed to ascend to heaven in his previous life and was reborn 12 years ago. With the help of his beloved concubines, such as Lu Jiajia from the Yujian Sect and Zhao Xianger, the Queen of Zhao, he embarks on a passionate adventure to uncover a thousand-year-old conspiracy.
