Synopsis

Katri lives with her grandparents on a farm in Finland, waiting for her mother to return from years of work in Germany. When World War breaks out, she encounters many unfortunate events such as losing contact with her mother. However, Katri bears her hardship through hard work and a strong will, and she is always loved by everyone around her.
