Tashiro-jima, the Cat Island , is severely damaged by the 2011 Tohoku tsunami. In the wake of the disaster, the feline population has to cope with a never-seen-before situation. Note: It received an early screening at a special event on 18 March 2012 at Hoshino Box Pier in Ishinomaki City, Miyagi Prefecture. The regular TV broadcast took place on 21 march 2012.
