Karakuri Zoushi Ayatsuri Sakon

Synopsis

Born in a Bunraku family, Tachibana Sakon is trained to become a Bunraku puppet master. With a pretty face, timid character and such dependency on his puppet friend Ukon , no one would expect that he is the one his policewoman aunt Kaoruko would turn to when she tries to solve seemingly perfect crimes. When controlling Ukon, Sakon instantly changes from a timid boy into a quiet, contemplative detective. Quite a contrast to Ukon, an exuberant chatterbox, who is much more into pop stars and talking to girls. This unlikely pair can untangle the criminal's web of deception, and comprehend the victim's way of thinking. As Sakon's grandfather once said: "Controlling a puppet is like reading the heart. You have to put yourself in the shoes of the one you want to portray."
