Marino Kouya is a 5th grade boy who loves Gear Fighting - a sport involving ring battles between small mechanical vehicles. His brother Yuhya had been the Asian Cup Gear Fighter Champion before he died in an accident four years ago. However, Kouya's skills are nowhere near his brother's, and one day most of his team members shift to Manganji Club - a team created by his former teammate Manganji Takeshi. As a result, his big brother's Crush Gear Club faces the threat of closure. Refusing to give up, Kouya offers a challenge to Takeshi and tries to find a way to reinstate the club back to its former glory.
