In Oumae Kumiko 's first year in the Kitauji High School Wind Ensemble , they surprised everyone by blazing through the Kyoto and Kansai competitions and making it to the national competition under advisor Taki Noboru . Their seniors graduated, but the remaining members are in high spirits, and their national exposure led to an influx of competent new students.
