The film "To Shoot without Shooting" is based upon the short story "Meijin-den" (The Story of a Master) by Japanese author Atsutshi Nakajima (1909-1942) The hero of this story derived from Chinese tradition is Ji Chang an adapt in archery who in the end forgets that such a weapon as a bow exists.
