The sixteen-year-old high school student Kusanagi Godou was running an errand for his grandfather, delivering a magic artefact to the Witch of Sardinia , Lucretia Zola . Before concluding his errand, however, he got himself caught up in a battle between Heretic Gods and met Erica Blandelli , a 16-year-old Great Knight of the Copper Black Cross magic society. Together with her and the artefact, he managed to slay the Heretic God Verethragna ; this achievement bestowed upon him the title of Campione , or God Slayer, and gave him Verethragna's divine powers. However, becoming a Campione brought Godou, who is averse to fighting and dubs himself a pacifist, the unwanted attention of both his fellow God Slayers and Heretic Gods alike. — written by gotnoface and Hinoe Note: The first episode was streamed on 28.06.2012 in a special event at Nico Nico Douga.
